Chipman reaches out to Dudley
By PAUL FRIESEN, QMI Agency

WINNIPEG - Mark Chipman called Rick Dudley, Wednesday, the first step in what could be the hiring of Dudley as the GM of Winnipeg’s new NHL team.

“We didn’t get a chance to talk at length,” Chipman, chairman of True North Sports and Entertainment, told the Winnipeg Sun. “We’re going to go meet with him. We’ll start that process (Thursday).”

Dudley recently signed a four-year contract extension with the Atlanta Thrashers, and knows Chipman from their time in the old IHL.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
