Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin is off the market, ladies.

Ovechkin confirmed Monday on his Twitter account that he is engaged to tennis player Maria Kirilenko, who is, like her future hubby, a native of Moscow. He also tweeted a photo of himself with Kirilenko, standing in skates (with hockey sticks) on an outdoor rink in Russia.

“We are engaged !!!!!!! )))))))))” he tweeted, though no date for the wedding his been announced.

The 27-year-old Ovechkin has been dating Kirilenko, a five-time winner on the WTA circuit and the Olympic bronze medallist in 2012, since last year. Kirilenko, 25, is ranked 14th in the world.

Ovechkin has been playing for Moscow Dynamo of the KHL during the NHL lockout.
