Washington Capitals prospect Evgeny Kuznetsov will remain in the Kontinental Hockey League for two more seasons, renewing his contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

The 20-year-old forward was the Capitals' first-round pick at the 2010 draft.

Kuznetsov said recently he was leaning toward staying with Traktor to ensure he would be able to play for Russia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

He led the team with 40 points -- 19 goals and 21 assists -- in 49 games this past season.
