ARLINGTON, VA. - The Washington Capitals have signed forward Troy Brouwer to a two-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Brouwer has spent each of his five NHL seasons with Chicago and last year notched 17 goals with 19 assists for 36 points in 79 games. He also scored 22 goals and finished with 40 points during the 2009-10 season and helped the Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup title that spring.
The Vancouver native has compiled 49 goals and 54 assists for 103 points in 238 regular-season games. He has added four goals and six assists in 43 playoff contests.
