VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Canucks inked centre Maxim Lapierre and defenceman Andrew Alberts each to two-year contracts Wednesday.

Lapierre appeared in 78 games with Vancouver last season and notched 12 points on six goals and six assists with 80 penalty minutes.

The 61st overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft also saw action in 25 playoff games and scored three goals, including the game-winner in game five of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins.

Alberts played in 42 games last year, recording seven points and leading all Canuck blueliners with 113 hits.
