Give credit to coach Vigneault

Alain Vigneault doesn't get near enough credit for the system he has in place. Players continue to drop in and out of the lineup without the team ever missing a defensive beat.

Alex Edler goes down and rookies like Chris Tanev and Lee Sweatt plug in and the machine keeps rolling.

When there is a defensive break down Roberto Luongo and Cory Schneider have proven time and time again they have their teams' backs.

@CanuckClay: The skaters don't change the way they play b/c they have complete confidence in BOTH thus, a more consistent team.

If you've watched the Canucks over the past decade or so you know this hasn't always been the case.

@PatrickTussie: I believe Schneider has lit the fire under Lou's ass and they're feeding off each other. Game within a game.

That combined with relinquishing the captaincy and the extra time off has absolutely made Luongo a sharper goaltender. For too long this inmate was running his own asylum by dictating when he played.

Can we sum up in one tweet why Luongo and Schneider are posting the stats they are?

@DwizzleOnIce: Other than the fact they're great goalies? Defensive faceoffs won, shot blocking, goalie coach and a constant offensive attack.
