VANCOUVER, B.C. -- The Vancouver Canucks have acquired left wing Andrew Peters from the Florida Panthers in exchange for left wing Darcy Hordichuk.
Peters was scoreless in 29 games for New Jersey last season, and has totaled four goals and three assists in 229 games over portions of six seasons in the league with Buffalo and the Devils.
Hordichuk netted a goal and an assist in 56 games last season for the Canucks, with whom he spent the last two seasons.
The 30-year-old played with the Panthers during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, and registered three goals and one assist in 60 games.
Hordichuk has recorded 18 goals, 15 helpers and 998 penalty minutes in 431 regular-season games over nine NHL seasons with Atlanta, Phoenix, Florida, Nashville and Vancouver.
