Morrison to attend Canucks training camp

Vancouver - Brendan Morrison will attend Vancouver's training camp on a professional tryout, the team announced on Thursday.

The 35-year-old center played in 74 games last season with the Washington Capitals, posting 12 goals and 42 points. In 829 career NHL regular-season games, Morrison has scored 187 goals with 547 points.

The British Columbia native has played for five teams in his NHL career, including in Vancouver from the 1999-2000 season through the 2007-2008 campaign. He recorded 393 points as a Canuck, good for 11th in all-time franchise scoring.
