TORONTO -- The Vancouver Canucks have added depth to their roster by signing Raffi Torres.

TSN of Canada reported on Wednesday that the left winger was given a one-year contract worth $1 million.

Torres, 28, split the 2009-10 campaign with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres, registering 19 goals and 36 points in 74 games.

For his career, the Toronto native has 98 goals and 84 assists in 432 games with the New York Islanders, Edmonton, Columbus and Buffalo.

Torres was originally selected by the Islanders in the first round (fifth overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
