Canucks sign another brother

The Vancouver Canucks have signed free-agent Colorado College winger Billy Sweatt.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Illinois native was a second-round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 but was traded to Toronto with Kris Versteeg two months ago. He became a free agent after failing to come to terms with the Maple Leafs on a contract. The Canucks signed Sweatt’s older brother, Lee, earlier this year, and there’s a chance the siblings could both suit up for the Manitoba Moose this season.
