While the rest of the nation was trying to recover from the heart breaker in Saskatoon, Alex Burrows and the Canucks gave fans in Vancouver something to cheer about Tuesday, routing the Blue Jackets 7-3 at GM Place.

Although Columbus scored twice in a span of 61 seconds to take an early 2-0 lead, the hosts replied with seven goals on 24 shots from five different players to complete the comeback.

Burrows sealed the hat trick in the third with a shorthander, becoming the fourth different Canuck this season to record three in a game. As for Henrik Sedin, he scored once and added two assists to extending his point streak to seven games and tie Joe Thornton for the NHL scoring lead once again.

Vancouver also got tallies from Rick Rypien, Sami Salo and Mikael Samuelsson, resulting in Steve Mason being pulled from the Columbus net, while Roberto Luongo stopped 29 of 32 shots at the other end.

The Canucks will look to win their seventh in their last eight games Thursday when they welcome the Phoenix Coyotes to town.
