GAME ON:

Tonight, 7 p.m. on TSN

- THE BUZZ: A familiar Northwest Divisional foe will be skating at GM Place tonight as Marian Gaborik and the New York Rangers make their lone visit this season.

- GABBY: The former Minnesota Wild star has scored 18 goals in 36 against the Canucks, the most against any team in his career. He's also on a four-game goal streak.

- NEW FACE: The Canucks inked Matt Pettinger yesterday to a two-way deal after the forward recorded four points in seven games in Manitoba. It will be his second stint as a Canuck after playing 20 games in 2007-08.

- LAST MEETING: The two clubs only met once last season, with Vancouver winning 6-3 thanks to two goals from Alex Burrows.
