If you felt a minor earthquake on Wednesday afternoon, this must be it.

Word around the media campfire is that Vancouver Canucks netminder Roberto Luongo may not be ready in time for Saturday's game against the Oilers in Edmonton.

The Canucks captain, who injured his groin muscle in a game against Pittsburgh on Nov. 22, left practice early on Wednesday after 20 minutes on the ice and wouldn't speak with reporters afterwards.

No word on what the situation is, but speculation is that he may have re-tweaked his groin muscle.

Canucks' head coach Alain Vigneault told media Wednesday that he wasn't sure if Luongo had indeed re-injured himself. The plan, he added, was for him to practice on Friday. The team has no plans to rush him back into game action, so new developments are strictly day-to-day.
