Three more for the road.

The Vancouver Canucks start a three-game road trip tonight in Glendale, Arizona where they'll face the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Desert Dogs are three points out of the Western conference's doghouse where the Marc Crawford-coached Los Angeles Kings reign unsupreme.

The Canucks had trouble with the "Gretzky Gang" a week ago at GM Place and escaped with a 4-3 win when captain Markus Naslund woke up and scored the winner with help from newcomers Bryan Smolinski and Brent Sopel.

The Canucks return to the coast tomorrow night to face the San Jose Sharks. The teams split their previous two meetings. The "Silicon Valley Jaws" strengthened their lineup with the addition of ex-St. Louis Blue Bill Guerin.

The road trip ends with Vancouver's last meeting with the Anaheim Ducks the season. "Burky's Bunch" lost 3-2 in overtime on Feb. 20 when Vancouver head coach Alain Vigneault gambled and won with backup Dany Sabourin between the pipes.

The road will be a good place for the Canucks to hone their special teams.
