Those winning ways

Vancouver Canucks hope to regain their winning ways in Edmonton tomorrow night against the Oilers (6 p.m. Team 1040/Sportsnet).

They were 4-3 losers Saturday in Calgary as the Flames erased a 2-0 deficit and fired 42 shots at goaltender Roberto Luongo. Flames took over the lead in the Northwest division by two points, good enough for third overall in the Western conference.

The Oilers, six points behind Minnesota Wild in the race for the last playoff spot, will be seeking revenge for Thursday's 5-3 loss at General Motors Place. Canucks will be rested after spending yesterday in Calgary.

Canucks won't have any rest after meeting the Oilers. They'll return home to host the Western conference's second-worst team the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday. Southeast division-leading Atlanta Thrashers, third-best in the Eastern conference, make a rare visit on Saturday.
