It was the Canucks’ third win against a northwest division opponent this season and atoned for last Saturday’s lame 5-3 loss in Calgary.
The teams were scoreless until Flame Dean Lombardi beat Canucks’ goaltender Roberto Luongo one-on-one with a shorthanded goal at 1:09 of the second period. Canuck Mattias Ohlund tied it at 2:53 and Daniel Sedin put Vancouver ahead with 2:29 left in the period.
Brendan Morrison added a goal on an oddman rush at 8:40 of the third.
Canucks finish the homestand tomorrow against the Minnesota Wild (7 p.m. Team 1040/CBC).
