National Hockey League owners rubberstamped the Aquilini Investment Group buyout of the Vancouver Canucks and General Motors Place yesterday in Palm Beach, Fla.

But a British Columbia Supreme Court judge could nix the purchase next year.

Vancouver real estate magnates Francesco, Paolo and Roberto Aquilini bought half the club and arena in 2004 from reclusive Seattle billionaire John McCaw. They bought the other half on Nov. 8.

Jilted suitors Tom Gaglardi and Ryan Beedie go to court April 30, 2007. They claim Francesco Aquilini dropped out of their bid and secretly negotiated his own deal with McCaw.
