With 6:47 left in last night's second period, thousands of fans chanted "Oilers suck," oblivious to the fact their Vancouver Canucks sucked more than the visitors from Edmonton.

Sanity returned with less than five minutes left in the third. Thousands of fans exited the 4-0 loss.

We Are All Embarrassed and Ripped Off?

You bet! Only the last place Columbus Blue Jackets (55 goals) have scored less than the Canucks (59).

Shawn Horcoff opened the scoring with a bizarre first period ricochet power play goal. Roberto Luongo allowed the first two shots of the second to Daniel Tjarnqvist and Joffrey Lupul. Raffi Torres scored in the third.

Dwayne Roloson stopped 36 shots for the shutout. Luongo faced only 18.

Taylor Pyatt, Sami Salo and Rick Rypien left the game injured. Goals were disallowed to Daniel Sedin and Alexandre Burrows.
