How's this for a back-to-back.

The Vancouver Canucks visit the red-hot Detroit Red Wings tonight (4:30 p.m. Team 1040/pay-per-view) and not-too-shabby Nashville Predators tomorrow (5 p.m. Team 1040/Sportsnet).

Nashville (13-6) leads the Central division with 28 points and the Red Wings (12-7) are just two behind. Both are 8-2 in their last 10 games, with both losses occurring in tie-breakers.

Canucks (10-11 including a shootout loss) conclude the three-game road trip Saturday in Denver against the Colorado Avalanche (7 p.m. Team 1040/CBC). The Avalanche are in the cellar of the Northwest division, one point behind the Canucks.

Canucks split their longest homestand of the season 3-3, which included a 3-2 loss to the Red Wings on Nov. 14. They're riding a pair of wins over the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks.

Canucks return home Nov. 28 to host Anson Carter and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
