Can Dominik Hasek make it three straight? Can Roberto Luongo snap out of his slump?

Hasek, the Detroit Red Wings' Czech puckstopper from Pardubice, has shutout his last two opponents and hopes to do the same against the Vancouver Canucks tonight at GM Place (7 p.m., Team 1040/ Sportsnet).

Red Wings are on an eight-game winning streak. Canucks have lost four of their five November games, including 3-2 on Saturday against Calgary. The Flames scored three unanswered even strength goals after Sami Salo and Taylor Pyatt had first period power-play markers for Vancouver.

Luongo stopped the first 10 Flames' shots he faced, but then allowed three goals on the next 11. He was pulled from Thursday's embarrassing 6-0 loss to the Anaheim Ducks after letting three goals in on nine shots.

Last time the Canucks met the Wings was the Oct. 5 season opener in the Motor City when Luongo had 27 saves in the 3-1 Canucks' win.
