Vancouver Canucks will start their 36th NHL season tonight in Detroit and all eyes will be on the "O-Line."

Markus Naslund and twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin are Ornskoldsvik, Sweden natives and they'll be under pressure to produce much of the club's offence.

The Alain Vigneault-coached club doesn't have the Stanley Cup expectations that fans had a year ago when Marc Crawford was behind the bench. But it is under pressure to finish higher than ninth place in the Western conference and enter the playoffs.

Detroit Red Wings will start a season without Steve Yzerman for the first time since 1982. Detroit will have Dominik Hasek back in goal for his third tour of duty in Motor City. Face-off is 4 p.m. on CBC and Team 1040.

- Meanwhile, Canucks claimed Dany Sabourin off waivers. The 26-year-old was with the Pittsburgh Penguins' AHL team in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Penn., last season.
