Defenceman Bryan Allen was Vancouver's 1998 first-round pick.

24 hours: During the lockout you played in Russia. Talk about playing for Khimik in the Russian league.

#5 Bryan Allen: It was my first time in Russia. Every aspect of life ... was eye opening, the hockey was different, the culture was different. And the way of life, the language it was real different to be fully submerged into a Russian atmosphere. The food was pretty good; the language was really tough to understand, you can't read it at all. You pick up a few words here and there, talking to guys and asking what the words were.

24: What's your favourite TV show?

#5: "I was a fan of CSI when it first came out. When it came out with all three of them it kinda turned me off a bit. The new show I like is Alias. I like the serious ones, the action packed ones."

24: You also enjoy comedies with Will Ferrell, like Old School.

#5: "I really like will Ferrell, he always puts on a good show and gives a good laugh."

24: Growing up, you were a fan of Toronto Maple Leaf Wendel Clark.

#5: "Growing up pretty close to Toronto and always was a Maple Leafs fan, I liked the style of play he brought to the game."

24: Living in Yaletown, you're near several nice restaurants. What do you recommend?

#5: "My favourite restaurant is probably Miko Sushi. I order the seafood salad."
