Call it Team Mosaic

BOB MACKIN -- 24 Hours Vancouver

The 2005 edition of the Vancouver Canucks represents the most diverse squad in the team's history.

The team is heavy with Scandinavians, like Finns Jarkko Ruutu and Sami Salo and Swedes Markus Naslund, twins Daniel and Henrik Sedin and Mattias Ohlund.

Fedor Fedorov is from Pskov, Russia. Windsor, Ont.-born Ed Jovanovski is son of a Macedonian soccer player and Sudbury's Todd Bertuzzi is obviously Italian- Canadian.

Newcomers Richard Park and Anson Carter add even more flavour.

Park was born in Seoul, South Korea. Toronto-born Carter spends his off-seasons in Los Angeles but is from a West Indies family.
