WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets made a minor transaction on Monday morning, sending centre Riley Holzapfel to the Anaheim Ducks for centre Maxime Macenauer.

Macenauer, who had one goal and three assists in 29 games for the Ducks this season, will report to the Jets farm team, the AHLs St. Johns IceCaps. The Laval, Que., product, who is 6-foot and 203 pounds, was picked in the third round of the 2007 draft.

Holzapfel, who was a second-round selection of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2006, had eight goals and seven assists in 29 games this season for the IceCaps.

GM Kevin Cheveldayoff apparently swung the deal during Winnipegs 90-minute practice, leading to a funny moment during Claude Noels media scrum afterwards.

What? We made a deal today? Noel asked. Im gonna go run to Chevy right now and give him (heck).
