Yes, the Maple Leafs are expected to shop the likes of Alexei Ponikarovsky, Lee Stempniak, Garnet Exelby and Wayne Primeau by Wednesday's trade deadline. But who are some of the other names around the league who are legitimate candidates to be moved? Here's a look.

THE CANDIDATES

- F Paul Kariya (Blues): Hasn't reached 30-point mark yet, but still dangerous when given the opportunity.

- F Ray Whitney (Hurricanes): Reportedly close to becoming a LA King several weeks ago.

- F Cory Stillman (Panthers): His cache of experience and Stanley Cup rings would be a healthy addition to any team.

- F Stephen Reinprecht (Panthers): Adds valuable scoring depth to a playoff-bound team.

- F Keith Tkachuk (Blues): Waived his no-trade a couple of years back to go to Atlanta as part of a deadline deal. Will he waive it again for a shot at the Cup?

- F Rostislav Olesz (Panthers): Legitimate candidate to be part of Florida's house-cleaning.

- F Ethan Moreau (Oilers): Oilers facelift began Monday with the dealing of D Denis Grebeshkov.

- F Slava Kozlov (Thrashers): No-movement clause remains an issue.

- F Raffi Torres (Blue Jackets): Suffered through injury-plagued season.

- D Dan Hamhuis (Preds): Flyers reportedly sniffing around.

- D John-Michael Liles (Avs): A recent healthy scratch because of defensive liabilities, his offensive talents can not be questioned.

- D Joe Corvo (Hurricanes): Asking price expected to be high for slick puck-moving defenceman.

- D Sheldon Souray (Oilers): Health issues remain a point of debate.

- G Tomas Vokoun (Panthers): Florida likely needs to be blown away by any offer in order to move him to another team.
