Here's the latest gossip with the clock ticking towards the NHL trade deadline:

- It's believed Anaheim GM Brian Burke has turned his attention to Blues RW Bill Guerin after failing to acquire LW Keith Tkachuk from St. Louis. Ten teams are interested in Guerin -- including the Senators, Leafs, Canucks and Penguins -- and St. Louis is weighing its options.

- The Panthers are ready to clean house. GM/coach Jacques Martin has held talks with several teams about veteran Ws Martin Gelinas, Gary Roberts and Todd Bertuzzi. Gelinas is willing to waive his no-trade clause to get sent to a contender. Gelinas and Roberts remain on the Senators' radar screen.

- The injury-ravaged Sabres need a forward and are shopping G Martin Biron. There is talk Buffalo will send Biron to the Penguins in exchange for LW Ryan Malone. Tampa Bay is also believed to be interested in Biron.

- At least six teams have called the Islanders about LW Jason Blake. The Predators might make a pitch after losing rugged RW Scott Hartnell to a broken foot.

- The Flyers are still shopping D Derian Hatcher and LW Kyle Calder. Philly would deal D Joni Pitkanen in exchange for a goalie.

- The Ducks are in the hunt for Montreal D Sheldon Souray and possibly Kings D Brent Sopel. The Lightning and Senators have also shown an interest in Sopel.
