A month ago, only diehard Maple Leaf fans may have recognized Antoine Bibeau as one of the team’s promising goaltending prospects.

But after a sensational Memorial Cup performance last month, the 20-year-old’s stock has risen to the point where the team signed him to a three-year entry-level contract on Tuesday.

Bibeau was named the outstanding goaltender at the Memorial Cup where he had a 2.76 goals against average and .932 save percentage for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champion Val-d’Or Foreurs.
