The Maple Leafs near-impossible playoff push will have have to be continue without Jonathan Bernier.

As expected, the injury he suffered late in Thursday’s game against Boston was serious, an MCL strain that will sideline him a minimum three weeks according to coach Randy Carlyle. That takes him out of Toronto’s final four games and any first round series they might buck the odds to make by next Saturday.

Bernier, whose .923 save percentage will set the Leaf record for one year by a goalie with at least 2,000 minutes played, will give way to James Reimer, who ended up winning a 4-3 overtime decision against the Bruins.
