Tim Gleason didn't have time to come up with a detailed answer to the question. But it would have been a good one.

The defenceman was asked post-game on Wednesday how his first few days as a Leaf have been from an adjustment perspective. Here was a new guy, who arrived in the glow of the Leafs' Winter Classic win, then was subject to three of Toronto's worst losses this season, two with him in the lineup, one against Carolina, his former team.

With half the fans in town calling for his new coach's scalp, the Leafs reversed gear, won three in a row and slayed some demons in Beantown.

"People pay to watch good hockey and a lot to do so (in Toronto)," Gleason said after a shootout win over Buffalo. "I'm sure there's more pressure here. As players, you do as much as you can and that's all you can ask of yourself. But at the end of the day, we have to win games."
