Hockeytown continue to be blasted by frigid temperatures and blizzard-like snow on Thursday, but that could not dampen the warm fuzzy feeling the Maple Leafs felt en masse after their 3-2 shootout victory over the Red Wings at the Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium.

It’s easy to smile when you’ve just made NHL history by winning the highest-attended NHL game in history. And, in doing so, the Leafs reeled off their season-high sixth consecutive game with registering at least one point.

But by no means should that translate into any kind of false thinking that this team no longer has warts. Coach Randy Carlyle still has a number of leaks to plug as the team heads into the second half of the season.

Having said that, there were a number of things we learned during the Winter Classic festivities over the past few days. Here are five of them.
