It’s heartbreak that Leafs fan hate to relive — the team’s devastating defeat to the Boston Bruins during last season's playoffs.

But Windsor social worker Mark Micelli and nine of his friends have preserved that pain for all to see after the 23-year-old uploaded a GOPro video to YouTube that captures their reaction to the Leafs losing Game 7 of their series against the Bruins.

That video uploaded a week after the Leafs’ 5-4 loss has garnered more than 500,000 views and will be featured in the issue of Sports Illustrated hitting the stands Wednesday.

“It’s been a fun experience, having Sports Illustrated over (last week) and doing a photo shoot,” Micelli said Monday. “Everyone was just in shock. I just uploaded it to show my buddies their reactions and show how funny it was. It just spread on its own.”

The video, which runs nearly three minutes, depicts 10 guys and three girls, almost all wearing Leaf shirts, intently looking at the television. After Toronto scores, everyone cheers and stands up. But their spirits sink after Boston scores goal after goal.

“After (Leafs centre Nazem) Kadri scored the 4-1 goal, we were talking about the next series and we would’ve played New York,” Micelli explained.
