TORONTO - Will the long arm of the NHL law grip David Clarkson yet again?

The Leafs forward will have to answer for his actions in a phone hearing Saturday morning with NHL disciplinarian chief, Brendan Shanahan.

The league is reviewing a hit Clarkson made on Blues winger Vladimir Sobotka during the second period of the Leafs 6-3 loss Thursday in St. Louis. Clarkson was assessed a two-minute minor for an illegal check to the head of Sobotka, who did not leave the game.

Clarkson, of course, had a troubling start to his career with the Leafs as he missed the first 10 games of the season because of a suspension handed out in the pre-season.
