OTTAWA - Eugene Melnyk signs the Ottawa Senators’ paycheques, but James Reimer owns the Sens in the nation’s capital.

The Maple Leafs goalie made 47 saves in regulation and overtime and then two more in the shootout as the Leafs escaped the Canadian Tire Centre with a 4-3 win in a shootout.

James van Riemsdyk and Mason Raymond scored in the shootout on Craig Anderson, while Reimer stopped Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek in the latest Battle of Ontario.

Reimer is 7-0 in his career in Ottawa as the Leafs snapped a seven-game road losing streak.
