The injury bug has hit the Maple Leafs this season, so they can breathe a sigh of relief that the flu bug hasn’t claimed their top sniper.

Phil Kessel will, indeed, be on the ice for Tuesday night’s home game against the New York Islanders.

Kessel, who missed Monday’s practice with what was called “flu-like symptoms,” was on the ice Tuesday morning for the Leafs’ skate and looked to be fully recovered.

“He’s a hockey player who has had a good run, stayed healthy, and we’ve just be fortunate that he’s been able to do that,” coach Randy Carlyle said.
