Help is on the way for the wingers of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Down their top three centres for this past weekend’s home-and-home series vs. Buffalo, the Leafs will get one and likely two of them back by the end of this week.

On Monday, Tyler Bozak, who has spent most of the season as the team’s No. 1 centre, participated in his first full practice since suffering a hamstring injury in Columbus on Oct. 25.

He’s eligible to come off injured reserve for Thursday’s home date against Nashville and it sounds as if the team is eyeing either that or Saturday’s contest vs. Washington for his return.

“It felt good today. Things are getting better,” Bozak said following Monday’s practice. “Without a setback, I’m hoping to be out there by the end of the week.

“The guys who have come in and done a great job. We’ve still been getting wins and that’s the most important thing.”

Bozak said the injury occurred on a fluke play in a game against the Blue Jackets.
