TORONTO - Randy Carlyle has no need to say it publicly, but we’re assuming his Maple Leafs players don’t need a road map to figure out how important tonight’s game is to their coach.

While Carlyle has moved on from his days behind the Anaheim Ducks bench, tonight’s clash at the Air Canada Centre is his first against that former team.

So will the Leafs have enough to snap out of their two-game losing streak, the only consecutive losses in their first nine games? Will Jonathan Bernier bounce back from consecutive losses as he gets a third straight start in the Leafs net? And will Phil Kessel break out of his first scoring funk of the season?

Plenty of questions and plenty of intrigue for a Tuesday night game featuring a red-hot Ducks team that rolls into down sporting a 7-1 record as they begin an eight-game road trip.

Drop by Torontosun.com shortly before the 7 p.m. puck drop when Leafs writer Rob Longley will be moderating our game-night live chat. Give us your thoughts and rants and we’ll mix it in with Team Sun’s analysis from the ACC press box.
