For a team that the Leafs have played only 32 times in team history, there is a lot of attention being paid to the arrival of the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday.

It has less to do with head-to-head matchups on the ice as the ties behind the bench and in management. General manager Dave Nonis, his predecessor Brian Burke, head coach Randy Carlyle, and long-time assistant Dave Farrish were part of the Ducks' organization for their 2007 Stanley Cup championship. All influenced various trades and free agent acquisitions while in California and when they transferred to Toronto, they seemed to have a hot line to new Ducks GM Bob Murray.
