TORONTO - Mason Raymond officially is a Maple Leaf.

The Leafs on Monday afternoon announced they had signed the winger to a one-year contract, worth a reported $1 million US.

Raymond had been in camp on a professional tryout.

“Based on Mason’s play in the pre-season, we feel he fits in well with our group and will have a significant role on our team,” Leafs general manager David Nonis said. “We agreed to terms over the weekend and look forward to him making a strong contribution this season.”
