The question bugged the Maple Leafs on Tuesday and will do so again, probably, well into Wednesday night.

How are they supposed to make a 6-foot-4, 213-pound enemy turn tail and skulk away?

In New York Rangers power forward Rick Nash, the Leafs have their hands full.

“Once he gets a step on you, there is really nothing you can do,” said Leafs defenceman Ryan O’Byrne, who saw a lot of Nash in the Western Conference, when O’Byrne was with the Colorado Avalanche and Nash with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

“He is a guy who thrives on those turnovers, and he gets a head of speed and gets a step on you. He is so strong and good at protecting the puck.
