If Mike Komisarek wants out of Toronto, it’s news to him.

Of course, there is the ‘yet’ factor to consider.

With a month to go before the NHL trade deadline on April 3, there will be plenty of speculation regarding the future of the Maple Leafs defenceman.

Komisarek has not played since Feb. 2, sitting in the press box as a healthy scratch for the past 14 games. But he denied a report, published on Saturday afternoon, that he has submitted a list of 12 teams to which he would be willing to accept a trade. Komisarek’s contract calls for a list that can be modified by June 15.

“I’m curious to see where you guys get your stuff,” Komisarek said after the Leafs practised at the MasterCard Centre on Sunday morning.

“You want to play, you want to contribute, and that is the biggest thing, right? You don’t want to be a passenger.
