TORONTO - James Reimer, as sunny as his disposition usually is, acknowledged frustration on Friday.
Everything was going splendidly for the Maple Leafs goaltender when he suffered a strained left knee during a game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 11, an injury that has kept him out of the lineup since.
The Leafs won that game thanks to the play of Ben Scrivens and are 3-2 in the ensuing five games, with a visit to Ottawa to take on the Senators on Saturday night.
All the while, Reimer has been rehabilitating his knee, and in his first scrum with reporters since the injury, said he is day to day but not quite close to returning.
