During the summer, winger James van Riemsdyk received a unique gift from a friend who manufactures a line of inspirational-message clothing.
It was a wristband with the words "Prove them wrong," which the New Jersey native told the New York Times he wears under his hockey glove as a little self motivation after a summer trade from the Philadelphia Flyers.
