With Panthers struggling, Leafs must win

A few words and the mood of a hockey team can be gauged.

That’s Twitter for you, where messages of 140 characters or less tell a tale.

On Saturday night after they had shut out the Ottawa Senators at the Air Canada Centre, there were Maple Leafs forwards Phil Kessel, Nazem Kadri, Tyler Bozak and James van Riemsdyk, trading playful jabs with each other on the social media website after Toronto won for the fifth time in six games.

On Sunday morning, after his club absorbed a third consecutive loss in overtime on Saturday, Florida Panthers rookie forward Jonathan Huberdeau took to Twitter as well, but to lament the difficulty that comes with losing three close games in succession. Huberdeau said that the “next game better be the right one,” but there certainly is no guarantee of that for the Panthers.
