Leafs sign Lupul to five-year extension
By TERRY KOSHAN, QMI Agency

Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul (QMI Agency/Files)

TORONTO - For Joffrey Lupul, the questions were answered a long time ago.

The Maple Leafs came fully in line with that thinking Sunday afternoon when they announced they had signed the 29-year-old winger to a five-year contract extension.

Remember those concerns about Lupul’s back when he was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks in February 2011? About the only reminder now is Lupul still sits on a blue cushion at his stall in the Leafs’ dressing room. Otherwise, it’s like he never was hurt.
