Hopefully, Burke firing was for the right reasons

Many of us media hounds, and probably some fans as well, are of two minds when considering the fate of Brian Burke.

On one hand, after four seasons of failing to make the playoffs and pulling the trigger on some questionable moves (most notably the Phil Kessel trade), there’s no arguing that from a hockey operations perspective, Burke deserved the demotion.

On the other hand, if the reports are true that the new board at MLSE wanted Burke out because it wanted someone who is more politically correct and less controversial in charge, then God help us all.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
