Brian Burke is out as the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs and it wasn’t supposed to end like this, a corporate hatchet job, coming out of nowhere.
You wonder why the suits are dark? So you can’t see them coming.
Somewhere in the corporate mosaic, somebody blue skied it and came up with a lighthouse strategy, opting for a shift in paradigm.
