The Toronto Maple Leafs signed former new Jersey Devils defenceman Mark Fraser to a one-year contract Monday.

Fraser, 25, played in four games with the Devils last season, upping his career total to 98. But he played primarily in the AHL, splitting the season between the Toronto Marlies and Syracuse Crunch.

After being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Dale Mitchell in February, Fraser helped lead Toronto to the AHL final.
