Bozak ignores trade speculation

Tyler Bozak said on Wednesday that he likes the Maple Leafs’ acquisition of David Steckel, as he won’t have to go into the circle against the NHL’s top faceoff man anymore.

But will Bozak one day this season line up against Steckel again? The Leafs would like to try to keep improving their forward lines, and Steckel could be the beginning. The thinking is the Leafs still want to a land a fairly big fish, and the names of Bozak and defenceman Carl Gunnarsson continue to pop up in trade speculation.

“I’m not thinking of it, not at all,” Bozak said. “We have a home opener (on Thursday night) and that’s the only thing on my mind right now.

“(Steckel) will help us a ton. We saw what Burkie (general manager Brian Burke) can do and he has been doing a great job.”

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
