Brown's return pure Hollywood
By MIKE ZEISBERGER, QMI Agency

DETROIT - Mike Brown might have been on the ice in Motown, but his return to action came right out of a Hollywood script.

Brown’s recovery from groin surgery in June has not gone nearly as smoothly as he had hoped, leaving the frustrated Toronto forward champing at the bit to make his pre-season debut.

In the end, it was well worth the wait.

“Two goals in my first game back. That was nice,” Brown said after the Leafs’ 4-3 OT victory over the Red Wings.

“I felt comfortable out there, which was good. But we’ll see how it feels when I’m back out there (Saturday against Detroit).”

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
