TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs retained the services of unrestricted free-agent forward Joey Crabb, signing him to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

In 48 games with the Leafs last year, the Alaska native totaled three goals and 12 assists. Crabb also spent part of last year with the Toronto Marlies, the Leafs' AHL affiliate, managing to score 11 goals with 18 points in 34 games. Crabb was selected to the 2011 AHL All-Star game, but did not participate because he was called up by the Maple Leafs.

Over 77 career NHL appearances with Atlanta and Toronto, Crabb has registered seven goals and 17 assists.
